Gianluca's Story

I will always remember this place and a piece of my heart will always be here.

I came to Emmaus because after a marriage breakdown and my misuse of drugs I was lost and did not know what to do. I found at Emmaus the help and support I needed to get back on track; to be strong and drug free.

Today feeling stronger, after 2.5 years at Emmaus where I was in charge of a shop, I feel ready to live outside of the community.

I now have a full time job; thanks to Emmaus, I got the chance to improve my life. I am in the move on flat, saving money for my own place and see my children regularly. Now I feel happy for the future, no longer scared and feel blessed that I found this community, which has given me back my confidence and my life.
