About Us

Emmaus (pronounced em-may-us) supports people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home and meaningful work in a community setting.

Emmaus Hampshire supports over 30 formerly homeless people, by providing them with a home for as long as they need it and meaningful work in our social enterprises. The main social enterprises are the stores in Winchester, Eastleigh and Southampton, which sell second hand furniture and household goods. Others are catering, distribution and DIY, all of which are based at Bar End, Winchester. Emmaus Hampshire aims to increase the number of places to 40.

You only have to read the stories of some of the people we have supported to see what a difference Emmaus makes. And if you are involved in a community group, why not  invite our current and former chairs to speak?
